WU Student Dormitory Affairs Organizes Capacity-Building Program for Student Dormitory Committees: “Personality Development and Communication Skills” for Academic Year 2026

The Student Dormitory Affairs Division, Center for Property Management, Walailak University, organized the “Student Dormitory Committee Capacity-Building Program: Personality Development and Communication Skills” for Academic Year 2026 from July 10–12, 2026, at Khanom Paradise Resort, Khanom District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. More than 90 student dormitory committee members from 16 dormitories participated in the program.

The program aimed to strengthen the capabilities and prepare student dormitory committee members for their responsibilities. It focused on developing personality, communication skills, teamwork, leadership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills, enabling committee members to effectively perform their duties and provide appropriate support and services to fellow students. The program also promoted morality, ethics, responsibility, and a spirit of volunteerism and service to the community.

The program featured a variety of activities, including interactive lectures and workshops, personality and communication skills training, group relationship-building activities, knowledge-sharing sessions, team-building activities, and leadership development activities. Emphasis was placed on participatory and hands-on learning, allowing participants to apply the knowledge and experiences gained to appropriately support and assist students living in the dormitories.

Student dormitory committees play an important role in creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive living environment that promotes learning. They also serve as a communication and coordination channel for students, as well as helping to promote various activities within the dormitories and the university.

The Student Dormitory Affairs Division is confident that the program will enhance the capabilities of student dormitory committee members, strengthen their readiness to serve as effective leaders and positive role models for their fellow students, and foster a strong network of cooperation among committees from all 16 dormitories. This collaboration will contribute to unity, effective teamwork, and the continued development of activities for the benefit of Walailak University students.
